2014 Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary Exhibition in Windsor House

As I always said on my facebook page that 2014 will be a great year for all the Hello Kitty fans, because it’s Hello Kitty’s 40th birthday year. Besides all the limited items of Hello Kitty 40th anniversary (such as Stay Real x Hello Kitty), Hong Kong has many events celebrating her special birthday (e.g. 7-Eleven Hello Party, Langham Place Hello Kitty in Russia).

This week in one of Hong Kong’s shopping malls “Windsor House” a special Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary Exhibition will start. Like always, I couldn’t wait but visiting it immediately.

Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary Celebration in Windsor House

The special Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary Exhibition focuses on particular Hello Kitty milestones and fans have the opportunity to take pictures with some of the most popular Hello Kitty figures of the past decade. All the lovely Hello Kitty figures were standing at the Atrium Ground Floor of Windsor House already. They are just so adorable.

Hello Kitty Collections Along The Years

In Windsor House there also will be many collections about Hello Kitty’s history. These collections are from all the hard-core Hello Kitty fans’ very precious personal collections, which bring us back to the sweet memories of how Hello Kitty was in the last 40 years. I will definitely write a separate article to share with you (Update: Windsor House Hello Kitty Special Collection Exhibition).

As we all know, the theme of Hello Kitty’s 40th Anniversary is “Let’s Hug”. The special exhibition in Windsor House also has arranged “Let’s Hug” session. On some Sundays between the 6th of April to 8th of June (6th of April, 13th of April, 20th of April, 4th of May and 11th of May), there will be a special meeting and greeting event to let Hello Kitty fans hug the true Hello Kitty.

The event will start at 3:00pm and Windsor House will give out 50 free hugging tickets from 1:00pm at Atrium Grand Floor. The tickets are on the first-come-first-serve basis.
