Eva Air Launches First Long-Range Hello Kitty “Hand-in-Hand” Jet

Everyone who has planed their holiday may change the plan after reading the news I am about to tell you (I really would like to change mine anyhow). From tomorrow (September 18, 2013), there will be another super kawaii Hello Kitty Airplane on duty – Hello Kitty Sanrio Family “Hand in Hand” themed jet from the Taiwan airline company Eva Air.

If you have followed my blog or Facebook for a while, you must have known that it’s not the first Hello Kitty themed jet that Eva Air has launched.  They have already launched FIVE cute Hello Kitty planes which are currently serving routes between Taipei and Tokyo, Fukuoka, Sapporo, Seoul, Guam, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Last year Eva Air has advertised their cute Hello Kitty planes in Hong Kong with the World’s First Hello Kitty Theme Bus, as well as the Eva Air Hello Kitty Tram. I have also collected my very first Eva Air Airbus A330-300 “Hello Kitty with Magic Stars” Aircraft Model.

This is the first time that Eva Air’s Hello Kitty airplane commence the inaugural flight outside the Asia-Pacific region (the other five planes just serve among Taiwan, China and Japan). This new Hello Kitty jet is nicknamed “Sanrio Family – Hand in Hand” and featured on a brand new Boeing 777. For the first time besides Hello Kitty, Sanrio’s another 19 characters including Dear Daniel, My Melody, Little Twin Stars, Minna No Tabo, Kuromi, Purin, Keroppi etc. will also appear on both sides of the airplane fuselage. All of the Sanrio characters will join hand-in-hand along the entire length of the aircraft. (Oh, I am so excited already =^_^=).

For the moment, the sixth Hello Kitty themed jet will serve route between Taipei and Los Angeles three flights per week. Tomorrow, Zhang Wei, the Chairman of Eva Air, will feature as captain and personally lead all visitors, Hello Kitty fans and chief designer of Sanrio together from Taipei to Los Angeles.

This will be definitely on my favorite list and my very-near-future plan.

Hello Kitty “Speed Puff” Jet was launched on the 22nd June 2012 (Airbus 330-300).

In case you don’t know, besides the painting on the aircraft, the flights are also completely themed with Hello Kitty and her friends, including the amenities (such as pillows, toilet paper rolls, coasters, airsickness bags) and the food and drinks.
