Hello Kitty Le Petit Café Opens in SOGO Causeway Bay

Hong Kong has become a Hello Kitty fans’ heaven in the last two months. No matter the Langham’s Hello Kitty & Her Friends in Russia exhibition,  or the 7-Eleven’s new “Hello Kitty Hello Party” collection, or the latest Stay Real x Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary, everywhere you can find super cute Hello Kitty and her friends.

And NOW, from the 7th of December 2013, Hong Kong finally has it’s own Hello Kitty Café – “Hello Kitty Le Petit Café” (Hurray !!!). I don’t need to travel to Japan or Taiwan in order to visit the Hello Kitty Café anymore. So great !

As its name, it’s a very small café that it provides no place to sit down. You can only stand next to the counter to enjoy your food or take away.

Hello Kitty Flower Bouquet for the Opening

Next to the cashier, there’s a Hello Kitty Flower Bouquet (it’s very similar to the bouquet from the Yume Flower Market). How cute !

Small Table for enjoying your food

Many dessert photos are hanging on the right side of the Hello Kitty Le Petit Café. There’s a 15-20cm broad counter where you can put your coffee and dessert on.

They all looked delicious. However, most of the cakes had no labels and price tags.

It was the only cake that they remembered to put a price tag next to it thus I knew the official name. HKD 38 per piece.

On the bottom of the dessert shelf, there are two chocolate balls which look exactly the same except the size. The price of the small one is HKD 48 per piece.

The large one is above HKD 200 per piece.

Hello Kitty Red Apple Cake

The staff told me the Red Apple Cake and Green Apple Cake were the most popular items since the shop opened (Is that because Hello Kitty always holds a red apple?). It consists of three layers: Jelly Coating, Sponge Cake and Roasted Apple.

The Green Apple Mousse and Red Apple Mousse are costed HKD 48 per piece. A little bit pricy for a small cake.
