Bandai Narikiri Hello Kitty Collection Vol.4

I have got this Bandai Narikiri Hello Kitty Collection for a very long time. They are actually 2009 Sanrio x Bandai products. Although I have collected many other Hello Kitty crossover cellphone accessories (charms), they are always one of my favorite sets.

This is not the only Narikiri Hello Kitty Collection from Bandai. I will write about my other collections when I have time. This is a set about the famous Japanese original comics characters.

They were originally available from the ubiquitous gachapon vending machines and wrapped in the secret capsules (gacha balls). All of them came with a strap and a Narikiri plastic tag. You can hang them on either your mobile phone or your handbag.

Removing the straps, they are just like mini figures. Each of them is about 3cm tall. I will write down their English and Japanese names in case you have interests to check out how the original characters look like and how creative the Hello Kitty crossover editions are.

Ninja Hattori-kun (忍者ハットリくん) – A character from Japanese manga by the author Fujiko Fujio. You may never hear about Ninja Hattorikun, but you must know the famous “Doramon” which is also the work from Fujiko Fujio. Isn’t this crossover great that Hello Kitty looks like a super hero?

Shishimaru (しし丸) is actually a ninja dog and another character from “Ninja Hattori-kun”.

Unagi Inu (ウナギイヌ) is a eel dog in the Japanese comics “Tensai Bakabon” or called “Genius Bakabon”. Its author is the famous Fujio Akatsuka. If you have read Tensai Bakabon, you will find how cute this Hello Kitty x Unagi Inu is!

Bakabon’s Papa (バカボンのパパ) is another character from “Tensai Bakabon” by Fujio Akatsuka. He is a trouble maker father and the center of the comics. Do you notice her mustache and Japanese fan? Kawaii ne  =^_^=

I think all of you should know Astro Boy (鉄腕アトム). He is one of the most famous Japanese comics characters around the world. Hello Kitty just looks kitticulous adorable in the suit of Astro Boy.

Princess Knight (リボンの騎士) is also a Japanese manga character. She is from the “Ribon no Kishi” or called “Knight of the Ribbon”. It is also the work of Osamu Tezuka (the creator of Astro Boy).
